Small Steps to Success
I has now been four days since the Year 5 children were given access to the LP. I didn't have a queue on Friday morning, the blog had done its job. So far over half the children have been on the blog and left questions, answers and comments and many have been designing their first page. It feels very worthwhile. I think I will run a couple of top up sessions so that we can look in detail at adding videos, slideshows etc. It will hopefully engage those children who haven't been taken by it so far.

Great to hear such a positive start to your learning platofrm journey and very much looking forward to following your class as they discover the benefits that technology can bring. Particularly like the 'guinea pigs' idea - seen similar 'champions' ideas used well elsewhere.

I hope your successful in engaging those hard to reach pupils. What plans do you have to involve parents with your LP? and how do you intend to share your experiences with other staff at your school, will they be receptive to the LP idea? I'd be keen to know some background.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your initial small steps were largely positive steps.
